Check back with us on further updates!

Our Lord said to his disciples “You are the light of the world” – Matthew 5:14.15.16

“You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it
under a bushel basket, but on the lamp stand, and gives it light to all in the house. In the same way, let
your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works, and give glory to your Father in
heaven”. Matthew 5: 14.15.16

The retreat team has selected this Scripture as the theme for our 32 nd Manhattan College Businessman’s

The 31st year Manhattan College Retreat is:

“Be Doers of the Word and not hearers only”

                                                                                                                                  James 1:22-25

Reflection:

Every believer should be growing in grace, maturing in the faith, walking in spirit and truth and bringing forth the good works of righteousness, which God Himself has prepared for us to do, in the power of the Holy Spirit – as we abide in Christ and He in us. Every believer should become a doer of the Word and not simply hearers only. We who have been rooted in Christ by grace through faith when Christ died and was raised for us, must seek to be fruitful (show the product of our actions) in our Christian walk, by bearing much fruit – as we abide in Christ and He in us.
